Adams Family Beach Shoot

I was honored to be able to photograph the youngest member of the Adam's family for a beach portrait sitting in Orange Beach, Alabama. I was pleased with the results. I think she looks like an angel.

Hey Leigh, I am working on perfecting my photography (I do in house stuff for my job, but I'm not great)...what kind of camera do you use?

Hi Southerner!
I use a Panasonic DMC-FZ20 Lumix Mega. It has a 12x zoom. My camera is a few years old and I would love to upgrade and also get a better zoom attachment. For what I do, potrait photography, it is perfect and serves the purpose. I have been happy with it. While my model is "retired" you can find comparible modles without spending a mighty mint on a camera for feautres that the average people do no tneed or will ever use of know how to use. You can puchase a good camera now for as little as $150.oo to the high priced ones in the thousands. There si one I recommend on my Amazon widget on my home blog page. It is good camera. There is a great camera comparison web site. I will find it and post it back here tonight.
Have fun with it!
Leigh

Thanks! Fortunately or unfortunately, my parents bought me a Canon Rebel Xti for Christmas (so generous!!!), but I'm still learning how to use it. The one at work is AWFUL...so if there is ever talk of a new camera, I want to be ready for a recommendation. Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry this is what the title made me think of.

The child in the photos is so beautiful. The photography is fabulous. Jen

Hi Southerner-Here is a Nice camera. It is great for everyone (beginners to advanced) Below is the Digital Photography Review article on it. You can go to the home page from there (www.dpreview.com) and look up about any camera and compare them. I think up to three at a time. Its a great respource when shopping for cameras

These are really good. You should play Mute Mondays. Some of the other participants have major photo skills and equipment.

I stink and use a cheapo camera or stuff from the inner-nets but still have fun with it.

Beautiful photos of a beautiful little girl! I really like the one where the sun is highlighting her hair. You really should join us for Mute Mondays!

I really like the simplicity of this set. The opening B&W shot is very nice as is the pic of the girl walking between the fences.
When do we get to see more?

As far as cameras go, I am using a Nikon D-80 with the 18-135mm lens. I have a 100-300mm lens left from my Nikon N-50 that I can also use when needed. So far, I've bee thrilled with the results.
For point and shoot, I still think Canon leads the class. The upper end ones with the swivel LCD are just the best in the business.
